Launiupoko Valley is where the mountains meet the sea. And it’s clearly one of the reasons why Maui is known as the Valley Isle. Located right outside of Lahaina, Launiupoko is one of the last places with large acreage available on the west side of the island and its agricultural land makes it very rare for these parts. There is also no shortage of horseback riding, hiking, and cycling trails here and it’s a quick drive down to the beach, or nearby Lahaina.
And the vista from up top is outstanding. Maui’s green mountains and shades of terra cotta land against the blue backdrop of the sea and sky makes it pretty unforgettable. It will be hard to get these views out of your head for awhile.
